Marta Katz is the Executive and Artistic Director of the El Paso Ballet Theatre (formerly the El Paso Conservatory of Dance and the EL Paso Youth Ballet). She has danced at the Compania Nacional de Danza in Mexico City, and. She holds a degree in Ballet Performance from UTEP and has taught ballet in Mexico City, UTEP, and at EPCC. She is recognized as an exceptional instructor of dance.
Lesley Lopez began ballet training in her native El Paso at the age of six, studying under Andrée Harper and later Ingeborg Heuser. In 2008, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School granted her a full scholarship for their year-round High School Program, which enabled her to perform and tour with the PBT Company. Lesley is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre- Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. Lesley is currently the principal dancer in The Company.
Reniel Basail a graduate of Escuela Nacional de Cuba holds a dual teaching degree in Contemporary and classical ballet. He has taught ballet in Guadalajara, Colima, and Mexico City and has presented his choreographic works in international festivals in Ecuador, Cuba, and Tamaulipas, Mexico. Reniel has is currently a resident choreographer for El Paso Ballet Theatre.
Yespari Miller graduated from National School of Art of Havana, superior level. He has studied under world renowned teachers from Cuba, Argentina, and Spain and has danced the roles of Escamillo in Carmen, Sigfrid in Swan Lake, Sugar Plum Cavelier, and Birbanto in Le Corsaire. Yespari has taught in Chihuahua and Coahuila, Mexico and is currently a teacher and choreographer with the El Paso Ballet Theatre.
Lauren Yoshiwirja is a Rehearsal Mistress and Guest Teacher at El Paso Ballet Theatre. She teaches advanced levels for the El Paso Ballet Theatre.
Ariela Katz has trained with Marta Katz, Ingeborg Heuser, German Zamuel and Valentina Moukhava. Ariela spent one season dancing with Ballet de Jalisco, directed by Dariusz Blajer in Guadalajara. Ariela is currently a principal dancer in The Company and has recently started teaching in The School.
Started ballet at the age of seven in UTEP's Gifted and Talented Program. She has trained with Marta Katz, Ingeborg Heuser, German Zamuel and Valentina Moukhanova. After performing in several UTEP Ballet productions, she danced the role of Clara at age twelve in UTEP's final Nutcracker in 2006. She attended summer intensives at School of American Ballet in NYC, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and in Monterrey and Guadalajara. She has performed the roles of Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, Cinderella, and Odette & Odile the El Paso Ballet Theatre (formerly the El Paso Conservatory of Dance and the El Paso Youth Ballet). Ariela spent one season dancing with Ballet de Jalisco, directed by Dariusz Blajer in Guadalajara.

In 2008, the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School granted her a full scholarship for their year-round High School Pre-Professional Program, and later the Graduate Program, which enabled her to perform and tour with the PBT Company. In 2010, she was later accepted into PBTS's graduate program. In 2014, she was invited to dance with Ballet Latino de San Antonio as a company member. Lesley has danced the roles of Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, Giselle, Swanhilda, Kitri, and Odette/Odile for the El Paso Ballet Theatre.

If you are a returning student, you are aware that many times it is difficult for us to manage and collect tuition before class due to everyone's hectic schedule. Unfortunately, this has led to insufficient funds to keep the studio running and operational. The EPBT company and school strive to provide the best in training and performing opportunities, but to do this, we must ensure that everyone is paying tuition in a timely manner. Thank you for understanding and please be prepared to fill out the required forms. These forms will also be available online prior to registration. You will also be able to pay quarterly tuition with PayPal in the near future.
